A Lysergic Voyage

The colours were so different. Brighter than usual. A spiralling pattern losing control of its features flashed, everywhere in the bright coloured view. The overwhelming scenery was accompanied by an erratic self control. My right leg refused to stop shaking. My entire body was restless. But what I was seeing was extraordinary and my ears longed an equally rewarding partner. "I'll play" my friend said for the third time. I had been looking at him for the last nine minutes. Okay, nine is my favorite number and my mind dwelled on this mediocrity. I don't know how long I was looking at him. I did notice his mouth moving but my mind mocked his speech. I saw the patterns and colours colliding on his face. His teeth seemed weird. His expressions were amplified. There was a mole on his face. It erupted when my eyes met it's core. Horrifying. Black lava came out of the mole and it spread like a dark Mandala on the walls of shamanic caves. "I'll play" my brain finally comprehended after the lava disappeared. My entire body felt loose and tight at the same time. There was an intense release of endorphins. I could feel it. I could feel the happiness gush out in me like the first time I had met the love of my life. I remember those white dorky glasses and black tight top. As my dopamine receptors tingled, my torso, my limbs, my crotch all of it felt the rush. I wanted to be able to channel all my energy, levitate in space, attain bliss. But I also felt I wanted to explode. My body was fickle and my brain, even more. It spent time, trying to understand the extreme battles inside me. Then it jumped abruptly to the stain on the curtain and then to the question of why I wasn't sitting down? Or maybe I wanted to stand. Maybe my legs awaited some purpose? Oh, the lights are brighter now. It was chaos inside of me and the outside was adapting into the negativity. Only a minute later did my mind finally catch the tune that blasted in the background. My friend had finally "played". The recursive beats drummed in my head now. The strength of their impact and the amplitude of their music was breathtaking. I enjoyed and I enjoyed. The music was intense now. Hard beats at high frequency. It was beautiful of how some notes stringed together could be so extravagant. My mind had forgotten all other expense. It now fully concentrated on the repeating beats of music. Slowly my body found purpose. I swayed to the rhythm. I started living the trance dance experience. Every move brought me closer to the cosmic destiny the psychedelic mother yields. I was being welcomed to paradise. Let there be light. I saw blue. I saw green. I saw red. I saw yellow. And then I saw them all mash into each other. I saw some escapees of the rainbow prison and some policing. Magic. You would not believe until you've seen this spectacle. The implosions shook my mind. The background was conquering my head. Making the grey cells the slave of this psychedelia. Unleash. The shadows were speaking to me now. They were so close. They were so bold. I kept moving. I noticed the patterns of never ending lights scurried through the walls and through them, my shadows and through them, me. I was lost in this Utopia for hours. Finding meaning not of my fate but of the cosmic reality that speaks of life. Accompanied by Colors and rhythm. It faded slowly. I chose to stay awake. Bid it a proper farewell. A high hello to a low goodbye.
